Why… Just Why?

Vogue has really been taking some major backlash these past 48 hours.  The high fashion magazine released its newest April cover with couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West or Kimye as they are often referred too. Not everyone agrees  with this decision and many people are wondering how they got there.  There are even rumors circulating that Kanye begged for the cover, however Anna Wintour is denying these rumor and is defending the magazines decision.  In her letter Anna wrote, “You may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogue’s cover. He did nothing of the sort. The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn’t true.”  Many Vogue fans and fashionistas have been quoted as saying this cover is a “betrayal” by the magazine and by its editor-and-chief, Anna Wintour.

Kanye West has done a radio show in the past with Ryan Seacreast saying, “There’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now and collectively we’re the most influential with clothing.” Okay Kanye. Howard Bragman, a PR practitioner and writer was quoted as saying, “I think it is clear Anna Wintour is evolving the magazine as society evolves.”

Here are just a few of my favorite tweets taken from Huffington Post Canada’s Website.
