It looks like colored furs are trending, and I have to say that I love it. Last week during NYFW brightly colored furs were seen all over the streets. This served as the perfect attire for the polar vortex that had rolled back into NYC, and for keeping fashion attendees warm as they traveled from show to show.
The shades and patterns are awesome- a lot of primary colors, oranges, forest greens, and pastels. It’s nice to see a shift from the traditional brown, black, or white, to colors that are refreshing and hip. The patterned furs are also very on point, some following the trend of color blocking, stripes, and zigzags.
Regardless, this makes for an interesting look and certainly has the ability to spice up an outfit. And these colored furs are not just coming in the form of coats, but also as scarves, vests, hats, and even earmuffs.
However, as with any trend, there are always looks that have gone too far, creating a fashion faux pas. Below I have listed some of my favorite looks that were roaming the streets of NYFW last week. Enjoy!
