The Oscars of Germany

Everybody knows about the Oscars or the Grammys and everybody pays a lot of attention to what the celebrities are wearing on the red carpet. But what about the Berlinale in Germany? Well to be honest it is not close to being as famous as the Oscars but that doesn’t mean that the dresses are less noteworthy. However, when looking at what the German and international stars wore to this year’s Berlinale I am sure they can keep up with the Oscars.

Here we see the famous actress Tilda Swinton, who brought a little bit of Hollywood glamour to the German capitol. The style: androgen haut couture. My only question for that outfit: How many birds had to die for these shoes?

The next outfit worn by the German actress Nora von Waldstätten was designed by Kaviar Gauche and is also held in black and white colors.

Another designer that is never to be missed on the red carpet is of course Giorgia Armani. His creation was worn by Karoline Herfurth, who is currently one of the rising German actresses.

These three creations demonstrate how differently the colors black and white and be worn but also that black and white are always the classics when it comes to galas and premieres. And I mean who wouldn’t want to be on the safe side when several photographers take your picture because otherwise you might just end up looking like that:
