Fashionable Felines Speak Out During NYFW

Fashion week is nothing short of chaotic for the professionals involved. This week’s New York Fashion Week is no different. Sidney Prawatyotin, VP of fashion at PR firm Krupp Group, thought it would be a great idea to bring some stress relief to the public relations teams that have spent countless hours preparing for the shows, the editorial teams who haven’t stopped writing in weeks and for the designers who are scrambling to runways. Let’s get distracted and relieve a little stress by watching videos of cats in clothing, complaining about Fashion Week.

With the help of my favorite app, “My Talking Pet” app, Prawatyotin started uploading photos of cats from the United Bamboo cat calendar. These images are of cats decked out in winter coats, evening dresses and suits. Here’s how it works: once you have selected an image you drag moveable points of the mouth of the animal and then you record funny things, or anything for the animal to appear to be saying.

“It’s a busy time for everyone — PR companies, casting directors, designers, models and fashion editors. I thought they all deserved a little 15-second break. So, I took pics of the most fashionable canines (Eno and Zoe) and felines (United Bamboo Cat Club models), and recorded voice-overs of funny things I hear around Fashion Week” says Prawatyotin.

I can’t lie; I’ve spent more than 15 seconds being distracted by these videos. My obsession with animals is nothing new, but when I discovered this app a few months ago, it took it to a whole other level. I have made a few videos of my Peek-a-Poo in various outfits and have to say they are pretty funny and adorable.

See more of Sidney’s talking animals on his Twitter and Instagram accounts and take a look at some videos below.
